Responsible to:

Finance Manager - Pakistan

Main accountabilities:

To assist Finance Manager in maintaining financial accounts and support in financial operations of office and project activities.

To provide accurate and timely data for production of monthly accounts.

Specific responsibilities:


  • Maintain Cashbook and accounting transactions in soft
  • Check and process invoices, bills and documents received from suppliers, contractors and consultants for payment
  • Maintain record in soft and hard, of bills and receipts, and to provide them as and when required
  • Assist in verifying accuracy of all expenses (office and projects) including adjustments against any advances
  • Report any unbudgeted expense in time
  • Withholding of Income tax and tax on services / GST and then deposit it in Govt. treasury within stipulated time
  • Process staff salaries, traveling bills and adhoc payments made to staff
  • Produce monthly / quarterly / annual cash books and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and consolidate petty cash for office
  • Assist in preparing office budget
  • Assist in preparing monthly forecasts and comparisons with actual expenses
  • Assist in providing data for annual audit
  • Other adhoc duties assigned by the line manager

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education to a degree level in related subject (Accounting / Finance). ACCA / CA Inter (part-qualified) can also apply
  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles is a must
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications, experience of Peachtree in particular would be preferred but is not essential
  • Ability to analyse financial data
  • Willingness to work in a flexible schedule
  • Excellent computer skills specially MS Office (in particulat MS Excel)
  • Good management skills and having attention to detail
  • Good English language skills, both spoken and written
  • A keen learner, driven and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work co-operatively and confidently in a team
