  1. 1.         Primary Purpose of the position

 Project Officer (PO) will play a leading role in implementation of project. The PO will be responsible for managing project activities, budgets and also coordinate with stakeholders (Donors, government officials, other agencies). PO will manage day to day activities of the project and lead his team.



  1. 2.         Key Responsibilities:

a)    Assist in preparation of project documents, like implementation plans, research tools, implementation guidelines, reports etc

b)    Assist in the implementation of project activities and ensure their completion in a timely manner.

c)    Coordinate with stakeholders for effective implementation and monitoring of project activities.

d)    Conduct need assessments, baseline studies, market assessments as required.

e)    Coordinate with Logistics and operations department to assure that the purchase requests are processed on time and maintain a backup of the information regarding purchase requests generated from program department.

f)     Maintain files (hard and soft copies with backups) in an appropriate manner.

g)    Assist in internal and external reporting.

h)    Ensure that the tasks assigned are meeting specific objectives and are according to the policies and procedures of ARC.

Job Specification:

a)    Education:

  • Master’s degree Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related area.
  • Knowledge/familiarity in program areas: e.g. Research, coordination, presentations, Community surveys, donor understanding etc.
  • Good Knowledge and ability to develop Concept notes and Proposals according real needs of those communities who are at risk.
  • Effluent in research and maintaining database.
  • English and Pushto fluency required.

b)    Experience:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in constructions works.


  • Analytical abilities: should be able to analyze complex information and make decisions accordingly.
  • Stress tolerance: should be able to work accurately under such conditions.  . 
  • Team working: should be able to work as a team player.
  • Attitude: Must possess a positive and willing to do attitude.
  • Time Management : Ability to manage stiff work and submission deadlines in the assigned timeline
  • Microsoft Office ( Excel, Power Point, Word ), SPSS.
