JOB PURPOSE:  The Barista Skills Trainer will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training to trainees in coffee preparation, customer service, and café operations. The trainer will ensure that trainees gain the knowledge and hands-on skills required to work as professional baristas in the hospitality industry.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Plan and deliver training sessions on coffee preparation, brewing methods, and beverage presentation.
• Teach proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of coffee machines and related equipment.
• Demonstrate various espresso-based drinks, brewing techniques, and latte art.
• Train students on customer service, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Develop lesson plans, training materials, and assessments in line with the curriculum.
• Monitor trainee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the training area.
• Support in organizing practical assessments and certification exams.
• Ensure the training lab/equipment is well maintained and stocked.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain trainee attendance and performance records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent /preferably in Hospitality
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Hospitality sector 
• Good communication skills, Trainings delivery & IT skills are essential
• Team player
