Position Objectives

The overall objective of the position is to support the Operations Department of PRCS National Headquarters in coordination, planning, implementation, close liaising with provincial and district branches and monitoring and reporting of field level activities and humanitarian responses across the province.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

• § Responsible for the overall implementation of field operations and delegated responsibility for field delivery of high-quality programing.
• § In collaboration with NHQ Operations team and PDMM/Field Project Managers, implement innovative, high-quality programs that align with PRCS’ strategic direction.
• § Develop and nurture relationships with PRCS Provincial branch, Movement partners, and other stakeholders including authorities, institutions, the private sector, and civil society to ensure successful program delivery.
• § Collaborate with the NHQ and PHQ Operations teams on program development, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and the sharing of learnings.
• § In collaboration with NHQ and PHQ, oversee all field activities, including compliance of organizational policies, as well as donor and country regulations.
• § Manage the field Operations team, including capacity-building, and performance evaluations.
• § Work with field teams to improve and streamline PRCS operational systems, processes, and policies.
• § Ensure the preparation of timely and all kinds of high quality progress reports, program reports, and donor reports.
• § Any other duty assigned by the PRCS Senior Management and Head of NHQ Operations.

Education

• Masters’ degree/academic credentials in social sciences, project management and/or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years’ experience working in project management, field operations, program planning, M&E and reporting.
• Knowledge of Red Cross/ Red Crescent systems, policies and practices is an advantage and Experience in working with Red Cross/ Red Crescent is an asset.

Skills/Knowledge

• Demonstrated task management, with experience managing a complex workload.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with conflict resolution experience in international team settings.
• Demonstrated experience in reporting on progress to PRCS management, donors/ partners and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control, including managing grants from Movement Partners.
• Experience managing and developing a high performing team, with the ability to lead and motivate others.
• Fluently spoken and written English and local language will be a plus.

Travelling

The official will have to travel to other PRCS Project areas across province, as and when required.
