Relevant Qualification & Experience: 

  • M.B.B.S and specialization in mother & child health care from recognized Medical College
  • Must be registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Completed 2 years of house job from Government Hospital.
  • Previous experience of working with organizations / hospital in Static healthcare facility rendering primary healthcare services particular to pregnant and lactating mother. Facilitating public immunization programme including public health campaigns like Malaria/HIV/TB/HCV
  • Will have excellent communications skills, both oral and written and fluent in local language (Sindhi)
  • Demonstrated creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem solving skills.

Job Description:

Primary health care and preventive health awareness Health and Hygiene Promotion Prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care for mothers and newborns Referrals of patients with chronic conditions to tertiary health care.

Major roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Adhere to organization Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles.
  • As a Woman Medical Doctor, the incumbent will be responsible for patients care during routine OPD checkups and keep record of each patient.
  • As a women medical officer ensure the Static healthcare facility rendering primary healthcare services particular to pregnant and lactating mothers
  • Provide immediate report/s of suspected epidemic diseases; examine patients to determine medical problem, utilize physical findings and patient’s statements for better care and proper treatment.
  • Ensures that relevant health education is carried out to patients’ according to the situation.
  • Facilitating public immunization programme including public health campaigns like Malaria/HIV/TB/HCV
  • Appropriate referrals of patients to the tertiary care facilities in district headquarter hospitals and specialized health care centers in Sukkur and follow up, coordinate with District office regularly and provide reports on daily activities to the Project Coordinator.
  • Providing clean and safe birth and delivery services at RHCs
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator in routine on OPD.
  • Act in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner towards other colleagues & community.
  • Handle emergency medical cases and Report immediately suspected epidemic disease to Hospital Director / RHC supervisor and immediately referred to DHQ.
  • To work effectively as a team member
  • To maintain a good level of hygiene in working place
  • To participate in Project training programs as requested
  • Provide consultation, examination and treatment of patients at the OPD and IPD
  • Compile and report daily and monthly OPD and IPD report to the health facility in charge
  • Responsible for Monitoring and supervision of any disease outbreak in the community
  • Improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.
  • Represent Sungi Development Foundation in meetings with stakeholders.

Emergency Response:

  • Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibilities as and when needed.
