Job Description

Position: Surveyor / Field Mobilizer (GAIN Project – Phase II)

Department: Programs

Project: GAIN Project – Phase II,

Reports To: Program Officer
Duty Station: Field Areas

 Job Purpose

The Surveyor will identify and register eligible women beneficiaries, conduct household surveys, implement nutrition awareness sessions, mobilize communities, maintain accurate field records, and contribute to increasing the daily reach and attendance of women at the Dastarkhwan.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct Surveys

  • Conduct baseline, verification, and follow-up household surveys.
  • Identify eligible women beneficiaries according to project criteria.
  • Verify beneficiary information and supporting documents.
  • Collect demographic, socioeconomic, and nutrition-related data.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all collected information.

2. Community Mobilization & Beneficiary Outreach

  • Mobilize women from surrounding communities to participate in the Daily Dastarkhwan.
  • Develop relationships with local leaders, community representatives, and women's groups.
  • Encourage regular attendance of registered beneficiaries.
  • Identify barriers preventing women from attending and propose practical solutions.
  • Increase project outreach by identifying new eligible beneficiaries.

3. Nutrition Awareness Campaigns

  • Conduct nutrition awareness sessions for women and families.
  • Educate beneficiaries on:
    • Balanced diet
    • Maternal nutrition
    • Child nutrition
    • Personal hygiene
    • Safe food handling
    • Healthy lifestyle practices
  • Distribute IEC (Information, Education & Communication) materials.
  • Record attendance of awareness sessions.

4. Field Operations

  • Conduct beneficiary registrations.
  • Verify beneficiary eligibility.
  • Perform household visits where required.
  • Support project events and awareness campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Dastarkhwan management regarding beneficiary attendance.
  • Resolve beneficiary queries in the field.

5. Data Entry & Daily Survey Analysis

  • Enter survey data daily.
  • Upload beneficiary information into project databases.
  • Verify data accuracy before submission.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of collected survey data.
  • Report inconsistencies immediately.

6. Monitoring & Attendance Verification

  • Monitor attendance trends of registered women.
  • Verify attendance records at the Dastarkhwan.
  • Conduct follow-up visits for inactive beneficiaries.
  • Recommend strategies to improve participation.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily field reports.
  • Submit weekly progress reports.
  • Prepare monthly activity summaries.
  • Maintain beneficiary files and documentation.
  • Assist in donor reporting and project documentation.
  • Maintain photographic evidence (where applicable).

8. Coordination

  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator, Data Entry Operator, and Dastarkhwan staff.
  • Attend project meetings and trainings.
  • Support monitoring visits by management and donors.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of surveys completed.
  • Number of women registered.
  • Increase in daily women attendance at Dastarkhwan.
  • Number of nutrition awareness sessions conducted.
  • Data accuracy rate.
  • Timely submission of reports.
  • Quality of documentation.
