Job purpose:

The BGA will serve as AeH’s household-facing sales, business growth, and referral agent for an assigned Dhanak Clinic. She will build a local customer base, create informed demand, sell approved family planning commodities at the doorstep, generate verified referrals, support client arrival and service redemption at the Dhanak Clinic, encourage appropriate repeat purchase and follow-up, maintain stock and cash discipline, and submit complete business records. The role combines community trust with accountable monthly sales, referral, redemption, and customer-retention targets.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

1. Prepare and follow approved daily and weekly outreach routes, household targets, clinic linkages, and follow-up lists.
2. Identify eligible clients, including married women of reproductive age (15-49) and other clients defined in the approved project protocol.
3. Provide accurate, confidential, voluntary, and method-neutral family planning information and counseling within the approved scope.
4. Market and sell approved DKT family planning commodities at the doorstep, particularly condoms and oral contraceptive pills, using approved prices, sales messages, stock controls, and receipts or sales records.
5. Build a repeat-customer portfolio and conduct timely follow-up for resupply, while respecting client choice and product eligibility.
6. Issue traceable referrals to the assigned Dhanak Clinic for IUCDs, implants, injectables, and other authorized clinical services.
7. Follow each referral through the commercial funnel, referral issued, clinic arrival verified, eligible service redeemed, and follow-up completed, without pressuring the client.
8. Conduct or facilitate approved hypertension and diabetes risk assessments after required training and consent refer abnormal results according to protocol without diagnosing.
9. Record household visits, prospects, counseling, units sold, sales value, repeat sales, referrals, clinic arrivals, service redemptions, follow-ups, risk assessments, client fees, returns, and unresolved cases.
10. Maintain stock cards and daily balances; safeguard products and cash; reconcile physical stock, sales, fees, and records.
11. Participate in AeH induction, product and sales training, refresher training, supervisory field visits, daily dispatch, evening reconciliation, and monthly business reviews.
12. Immediately report adverse events, client complaints, safeguarding concerns, confidentiality breaches, stock discrepancies, and suspected fraud.

    Minimum qualifications and competencies

    1. Preferably a woman above aged 20 years who resides in, or has strong familiarity with, the assigned catchment.
    2. Minimum education: matriculation and above, candidates with lower formal education may be considered if they demonstrate strong communication, numeracy, and reporting ability.
    3. Prior experience in community outreach, Product sales, health promotion, family planning, social mobilization, or fee-for-service work is preferred.
    4. Comfort discussing family planning respectfully with women, couples, providers, and community stakeholders.
    5. Basic numeracy, smartphone use, navigation, and digital or paper reporting skills, good communication skills.
    6. Mobility and willingness to undertake regular household visits within the assigned catchment.
    7. Integrity, discretion, empathy, resilience, target orientation, and willingness to accept performance coaching.
