1. Background
The Community-Level Lead Exposure Source Assessment and Awareness Initiative is being implemented by Shifa Foundation to identify potential sources and pathways of lead exposure. As part of the project, environmental samples will be collected from households and surrounding environments to assess potential sources of lead exposure and generate evidence to support community awareness and risk-reduction measures.
The project will require rapid assessment water-based lead test kits (Swabs) for screening of lead presence on different painted and household surfaces, including doors, door knobs, walls, painted surfaces, windows, window sills and other relevant surfaces. Therefore, the services of a registered vendor are requested for the supply of suitable lead testing kits for project operations.
2. Kits Specifications
The required lead testing kits should meet the following minimum specifications:

Scope of Supply
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
- Supply of 1700 individual water-based lead test swabs/tests.
- Delivery of the kits in their original, sealed manufacturer packaging.
- Provision of product datasheet, manufacturer's instructions and relevant quality documentation.
- Ensuring that all supplied kits are within their stated shelf life and have not been previously opened, damaged or compromised.
- Providing the batch/lot number and expiry date of the supplied kits.
- Replacing any damaged, defective or compromised kits identified at the time of delivery.
- The Delivery time to be maximum 2-3 weeks after order confirmation.
Vendor Eligibility and Requirements
Interested vendors should:
- Be a legally registered/authorized supplier of laboratory, environmental, scientific or relevant testing products.
- Provide a formal quotation clearly indicating the unit price, price per box, total cost, applicable taxes and delivery charges, delivery timeline where applicable.
- Clearly specify the brand/manufacturer, country of origin, model/product number and packaging configuration.
- Submit the manufacturer's product datasheet or technical specifications along with the quotation.
- Clearly confirm that the proposed product is water-based and not vinegar-based.
Provide details of warranty/replacement arrangements for defective or damaged products, where applicable.
