Background

A leading local organization is implementing a project in Balochistan aimed at strengthening the leadership skills and economic resilience of women and beneficiaries from excluded groups, including transgender persons, minorities, and women with disabilities. As part of this initiative, the organization plans to conduct a series of eight (8) intensive one-day capacity-building trainings for 200 participants, focused on the following areas:

  • Leadership and self-advocacy skills
  • Understanding leadership roles at household, community, and local levels
  • Rights awareness (economic, social, and gender rights; disability/transgender-inclusive rights where relevant)
  • Economic resilience and financial literacy basics
  • Risk management and building economic safety nets
  • Household, community, and local-initiative decision-making

Key Responsibilities of Master Trainer

  • Lead and facilitate sessions in Urdu or local languages.
  • Participatory and experiential methods will be used throughout, including group exercises, role-playing simulations, case studies, and peer mentoring.
  • Each training will conclude with participants developing practical individual or collective action plans to apply learned skills in household, community, or economic contexts.
  • Support follow-up via WhatsApp groups or community check-ins to reinforce application and track progress.
  • Ensure community-level arrangements, including participant coordination, venue, and basic logistics, in coordination with the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with donor standards and the Organization's training methodology, including safeguarding and inclusion principles.
  • Maintain daily attendance of the participants.
  • Prepare a detailed event report.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of training experience (at least), preferably in leadership, economics, livelihoods, or economic-empowerment programming.
  • Experienced in conducting training at the community level with women and marginalized groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working with transgender persons, minorities, and/or persons with disabilities is a strong plus.
  • Preference will be given to trainers who have experience designing participatory/experiential training methodologies and action-planning exercises.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and reporting skills.

Duration & Deliverables

  • Eight (8) one-day trainings in Quetta Balochistan (approx. 25 participants per training).
  • Submission of training plan, daily attendance sheets, participant action plans, and a final training report.
