The Poverty Graduation of Extremely Poor and Flood-Affected Households (PGEP) is a US$134.2 million project jointly financed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Government of Pakistan (GoP). The four-year project is being implemented under the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (MoPASS) in 25 of the poorest and flood-affected districts of Pakistan. The project supports the Government’s development priorities under Uraan Pakistan and is aligned with the IsDB Food Response Programme and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on reducing extreme poverty and economic vulnerability, promoting sustainable livelihoods and employment, and strengthening the resilience of poor and vulnerable households to climate-induced shocks.

Assistant Manager – Procurement

Job Description 

  • Support administrative procurement of office supplies, equipment, services, and logistical requirements in coordination with the Senior Manager-Procurement.
  • Assist the Senior Manager-Procurement in planning and processing procurement activities in accordance with the approved Procurement Plan, applicable Programme procedures, and IsDB procurement requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of RFQs, bidding documents, purchase orders, contracts, comparative statements, evaluation documentation, and other procurement-related documents, as required.
  • Assist in maintaining procurement-related records, supplier information, delivery records, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring procurement activities and maintaining an updated procurement tracker, including the status of procurement actions, contracts, deliveries, and pending matters.
  • Support PMU and POs in administrative and logistical arrangements for Programme activities.
  • Assist in coordination with POs, suppliers, Government departments, auditors, donors, and other stakeholders on administrative and logistics matters.
  • Support responses to audit queries related to HR, administration, assets, logistics, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HR, administrative, procurement, logistics, and asset management procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree or 16-year education in Management Sciences or related discipline from HEC recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in logistics, office management with preferably 03 years of experience in community procurement and livelihood Programmes
  • Relevant experience with international organizations and Government departments.
  • Certification in HR and Procurement Management will be an added advantage.
