Relevant Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in MEAL, monitoring, evaluations, assessments, or humanitarian/development programs.
• Experience conducting surveys, PDMs, and monitoring activities.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience u, Excel, Power BI, or similar data management tools.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project locations

Job Description:

The MEAL Officer will support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities for ongoing projects during the project closure period. The position will contribute to the timely delivery of assessments, surveys, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), process monitoring, lesson learned exercises, data quality assurance, and reporting while ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Support the planning and implementation of PDMs, endline surveys, perception surveys, and other assessments.
• Conduct field monitoring visits to verify project implementation and progress.
• Support data collection, validation, cleaning, and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to MEAL tools, methodologies, and standards.
• Assist in tracking project indicators and performance targets.

Data Quality and Information Management

• Conduct data quality checks and verification exercises.
• Support the maintenance of project databases and documentation systems.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry, storage, and management of monitoring data.
• Support data analysis and preparation of findings for reporting purposes.

Accountability and Learning

• Support beneficiary feedback and accountability mechanisms.
• Assist in the organization and facilitation of lesson learned workshops and reflection sessions.
• Document lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for program improvement.

Documentation and Reporting

• Support verification and compilation of Means of Verification (MOVs).
• Assist in preparing monitoring reports, assessment reports, presentations, and donor reporting inputs.
• Maintain organized records of MEAL activities and supporting documentation.

Coordination and Capacity Building

• Coordinate with program teams to schedule monitoring and assessment activities.
• Provide technical support to enumerators and field staff during data collection exercises.
• Support orientation and training sessions related to MEAL tools and processes.
