A reputable non-governmental organization based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to implement a project in District Bar Swat. Applications are invited from qualified, competent, and professionally motivated individuals.

 

2. Social Mobilizer (06 Positions)

 

  • Qualification: Masters in Social Sciences (preferably Sociology & Social Work)

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years as a Social Mobilizer/Organizer; preference will be given to candidates with experience in Technical & Vocational skills development work

  • Duty Station: Madyan Tehsil Bahrain District Bar Swat

  • Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Mobilize and engage flood-affected communities in District Swat and Bar Swat to participate in early recovery and rehabilitation activities.

    • Facilitate the formation and strengthening of Village Recovery Committees (VRCs) to promote community participation, ownership, and coordination.

    • Support the identification, registration, and verification of flood-affected households and vulnerable individuals per approved criteria.

    • Facilitate community-based assessments to identify flood damages, priority needs, vulnerabilities, and recovery requirements.

    • Conduct community awareness sessions on disaster risk reduction (DRR), flood preparedness, safe construction, hygiene promotion, and environmental protection.

    • Establish and strengthen linkages between affected communities, local government representatives, line departments, DDMA, and other humanitarian/development stakeholders.

    • Facilitate community consultations and participatory planning to prioritize early recovery and rehabilitation interventions.

    • Ensure the inclusion and meaningful participation of women, persons with disabilities, older persons, and other vulnerable groups.

    • Disseminate project information and promote feedback, complaints, and response mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability.

    • Monitor community-level project activities, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular progress reports for the Project Coordinator.

    • Support coordination with relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely implementation and address community-level concerns.
