An INGO is seeking a Health & Nutrition Officer for Quetta Office to oversee program implementation and partner coordination.

Relevant Experience: Master's Degree (MBBS / Public Health) in relevant field Minimum 04 years of overall experience and 02 years in relevant field in development sector OR Bachelor's degree (Nursing) in relevant field with minimum 06 years overall expereince with 04 years in relevant field in development sector 

Job Description:

Mission 1: Ensure effective project and partner management

  • Develop effective working relations with implementing partners, stakeholders, line departments and community leaders.
  • Support in development and regularly update project scope documents, detailed implementation plans, etc.
  • Project Funds Management: Oversee budget utilization and keep all concerned stakeholders, including donors, informed of funding status and funds utilization. Prepare budget revisions if necessary in coordination with the Implementing Partner and inform internal departments and donor in a timely manner.
  • Oversee administration of project budget in coordination with the Finance team, including control and monitoring of project-related expenditures, cash flow management, preparation of monthly/quarterly accounts (vouchers, invoices, receipts), and preparation of interim and final financial reports/PPPs.
  • Oversee timely and quality procurements (items, consultancy, and services): In coordination with the Head of Program and Logistics department, ensure timely payments to all vendors. Maintain liaison with the PD department for smooth coordination with partners.
  • Reporting: Ensure the preparation of weekly, monthly, annual, and end-of-project reports as required by the INGO, Government, donors, and other key stakeholders in coordination with the MEAL Manager. Ensure all reports are accurate, comprehensive, well‑documented, and timely submitted to maintain the credibility of the project.
  • Project Monitoring: Ensure continual and adequate monitoring of the project’s progress to ensure that project systems are working to achieve specific objectives and results. Maintain INGO accountability standards.
  • Project Archiving: Ensure that all project data is timely and efficiently archived during and at the end of the project period as per INGO SOPs.
  • Network with external stakeholders and potential partners; advocate for and represent the INGO in local meetings with partners and technical forums.

Mission 2: Provide technical and operational oversight for implementation of N&H and MHPSS interventions in project areas

  • Ensure implementation of Health and Nutrition interventions through Project staff and implementing partners.
  • Possess good understanding and skills in the management of Health & Nutrition, FSL, and MHPSS interventions.
  • Plan and execute project capacity‑building activities for implementing partners and stakeholders in collaboration with the HOD N&H and Head of Program.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, UN partners, Health Department, CAR office, and other organizations working in Health and Nutrition.
  • Ensure compliance with referral pathways and oversee implementation of MHPSS and Protection interventions.
  • Provide support and ensure implementation of WASH activities, feasibility assessments, and rehabilitation of targeted healthcare facilities.
  • Provide support to the FSL team for implementation of the livelihood component of the project.
  • Support MEAL functions in conducting surveys and ensure quality program data is obtained from implementing partners.

Mission 3: Proactively support the INGO’s commitments to gender equality and child protection sensitivity

  • Read, fully understand, and promote the INGO’s Gender Minimum Standards and Child Protection Policies.
  • Implement all work‑related activities with a gender, inclusion, and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns, and ideas of staff and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure and encourage the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities.
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged based on gender or limited due to manageable disability.
Skills Required:
  • Strong project management skills
  • Substantial experience in health & nutrition and managing partners
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Able to analyze and summarize complex technical  and contextual information
  • Fluent in English, reading writing and speaking. Fluency in local language of the program implementation area will be preferred

  • Ability to handle stress and pressure 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and generate timely and accurate reports
