Acting as a bridge between operations teams and the development team, you will ensure the delivery of features that meet organizational needs, improve workflows, and create measurable impact. This is a hands-on role combining product ownership, analytics, and user research, not a support function.

Key responsibilities

1. ERP Product Ownership (~50%)

  • Own and manage the ERP product backlog; prioritize and refine based on stakeholder input and organizational needs.

  • Gather requirements from operations, legal aid, and SLACC teams via workshops and ongoing consultations.

  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for development.

  • Coordinate with third-party and in-house developers on sprint planning, delivery timelines, and releases.

  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles to ensure quality before releases go live.

  • Communicate product roadmap, upcoming releases, and known issues to stakeholders.

  • Document system workflows, business rules, and configuration decisions.

  • Identify and escalate blockers, scope creep, and misalignment between business needs and technical delivery.

2. Product Analytics & Reporting (~30%)

  • Define and track key product metrics (adoption, usage, workflow completion, error rates) to inform decisions.

  • Build and maintain dashboards for leadership and operations visibility.

  • Conduct quantitative analysis to validate feature impact post-release.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly product performance reports.

  • Use data to support prioritization decisions with evidence.

3. User Research & Stakeholder Engagement (~20%)

  • Conduct user interviews and usability testing across ERP users.

  • Shadow end users to understand workflows, workarounds, and pain points.

  • Translate qualitative feedback into actionable insights linked to backlog items.

  • Document user journeys and ERP process maps.

  • Collaborate with operations leadership to align product improvements with organizational priorities.

Requirements

Experience

  • 2–4 years in product management, business analysis, or product ownership.

  • Hands-on ERP experience (implementation, configuration, support, or as a power user).

  • Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into specifications.

  • Experience working with development teams: writing user stories, sprint ceremonies, reviewing deliverables.

  • User research experience: interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis.

Product & Business Analysis Skills

  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and sprint-based development.

  • Knowledge of prioritization frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, etc.).

  • Competence with backlog management tools (JIRA, Linear, Trello, etc.).

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Analytical Skills

  • Comfortable with SQL for basic data extraction and analysis.

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, visualizations).

  • Experience building/maintaining dashboards (Metabase, Power BI, Google Data Studio).

  • Ability to interpret and present data to non-technical audiences.

AI-First Mindset

  • Active user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for research, drafting, and analysis.

  • Willingness to experiment with AI to improve productivity.

  • Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs.

Good to Have

  • Experience with third-party development teams.

  • Familiarity with legal tech, non-profits, or social impact sectors.

  • Experience with call center operations or case management systems.

  • Understanding of UX principles and wireframing (Figma, Whimsical, or pen-and-paper).

  • Experience with change management and adoption of new systems.

  • Python or R for deeper data analysis.

Core responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality ERP features that address operational needs and pain points.

  • Ensure adoption and effective use of ERP systems across teams.

  • Maintain data-driven insights to guide roadmap and prioritization decisions.

  • Document workflows, business rules, and decisions to build institutional knowledge.

  • Facilitate smooth collaboration between internal users and development teams.

  • Conduct user research and feedback loops to continuously improve ERP usability.
