Qualifications and Experience:

  • University level degree preferably Masters in social work/development studies or in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in humanitarian sector, at least half of which should have been related to capacity building program, including experience of managing or conducting training under capacity building projects & partnerships with academia.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision:

  • Leading the planning, monitoring and management of program activities
  • Supervise and lead the team members in achieving results of the project
  • Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of program. Review training reports, lessons learnt documentation and other program related documentation when required

Training Program Development:

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of digital training programs to address the capacity enhancement needs of CSOs in consultation with resource persons / consultants
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the alignment of digital training programs with organizational goals and objectives.

Implementation and Management:

  • Oversee the execution of digital training initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Monitor program activities, assess performance, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants involved in digital training delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with CSOs, academia, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Foster strong partnerships to enhance the reach and impact of digital training programs.

Resource Mobilization:

  • Contribute to program expansion through proposal writing, networking to secure funding for new digital training initiatives.
  • Explore and pursue partnership opportunities with potential donors and funding agencies.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of digital training programs.
  • Generate regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise team members in managing program data in both soft and hard copies in a timely manner

Capacity Building:

  • Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Conduct capacity-building sessions for internal staff and external partners as needed.

Program Promotion

  • Conduct visits to CSOs, networks and relevant forums to introduce the digital learning program and ensure uptake of digital courses 
  • Building strong and long-term relationship through networking and promotion of project activities with relevant stakeholders (CSOs, Universities, PDMA, etc.)
  • Increase visibility of the program activities at local, national & regional level (promotion of digital courses, webinar series etc.)

Quality Management

  • Ensure quality of the materials to be used for the digital learning courses
  • Managing Trainers and Resource Persons (internal/external)
  • Ensuring the quality outputs/results of the project as per implementation timeline

Follow-up and Coaching support

  • Planning and management of training follow-up and mentoring support in coordination with Trainers
  • Close coordination and follow up with project participants & stakeholders; other projects and departments within the organization.
  • Develop and conduct Technical Assistance and follow-up activities with selected participants
  • Ability to travel on short-notice. The frequency of travel is high for this position

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of management theories and concepts
  • Experienced in Organizational Development (OD) processes, approaches and change management
  • Engaging academia for curriculum/guidelines development to bridge gap between theory & practice
  • Understanding and Skills around HR, Financial Management & reporting
  • Experience in partnership management
  • Computer Skills (use of digital learning platforms, Microsoft Office specifically Excel for budgeting/planning & PowerPoint for presentations)
  • Excellent Writing skills (English), pro-active in communication & information sharing
  • Understanding about capacity building approaches and experience in fund raising for Capacity Building Programs
