Objective of the Position

The MIS Officer will be responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining the project’s Management Information System to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely data for planning, implementation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

The MIS Officer will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and manage beneficiary databases for the cold wave response project
• Design data collection tools, including registration, distribution, and monitoring formats
• Ensure accurate data entry, validation, cleaning, and regular updating of databases
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of data
• Support beneficiary registration, verification, and deduplication processes
• Generate regular MIS reports, summaries, and dashboards for project management
• Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of beneficiary data
• Support post-distribution monitoring data compilation and analysis
• Assist in donor reporting by providing verified data and statistics
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide basic MIS training to field staff
• Ensure compliance with organizational data protection policies and donor requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, statistics, social sciences, or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in MIS, data management, or M&E support
• Strong command of MS Excel and data management tools; experience with Kobo/ODK is an asset
• Experience working on humanitarian or emergency response projects preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with Gilgit-Baltistan context and local languages will be an advantage
