1. Background

Research and Development Solutions (RADS) is a for-profit private-sector organization providing research, technical assistance, surveys, and monitoring services in partnership with governments, donors, and NGOs. RADS works across sectors including health systems, nutrition, family planning, urban development, and immunization programs in Pakistan.

2. Purpose of the Position

The Research Intern will support the research team in ongoing projects by assisting in data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting activities. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applied research and development sector projects.

3. Key Responsibilities

The Research Intern will:

• Assist in literature reviews, desk research, and background documentation
• Support development of survey tools and data collection instruments
• Assist in coordinating field activities and follow-up with field teams
• Support data entry, cleaning, and basic analysis using Excel, Stata, SPSS, or R
• Assist in preparing presentations, summaries, and draft sections of reports
• Contribute to data visualization (graphs, charts, dashboards if applicable)
• Support documentation, filing, and maintaining research records
• Assist in organizing trainings, meetings, and workshops
• Perform any other task assigned by the Team Lead related to project activities

4. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final year) in Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, or related field
• Basic understanding of research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative)
• Familiarity with MS Excel; knowledge of Stata/SPSS/R will be an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines

5. Supervision and Reporting

The Research Intern will report directly to the Team Lead, UIL, and will work closely with project team members.

6. Deliverables

• Literature review summaries
• Cleaned datasets (as assigned)
• Draft report sections and presentations
• Field activity support documentation
• Any assigned analytical or documentation outputs
