At AFH Pakistan, we are seeking a Partnership Development Intern to support our efforts in strengthening collaborations and developing meaningful partnerships. This is a desk-based internship based in Islamabad, designed to offer practical learning and professional growth opportunities for individuals passionate about development, humanitarian action, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Purpose:

The Partnership Development Intern will support the Partnership Development Coordinator in strengthening AFH Pakistan's partnership and resource development efforts. The role will primarily involve research, donor mapping, maintaining institutional records, assisting in proposal development processes, ensuring readiness for donor due diligence, and coordinating internal data related to institutional engagement.

This internship is ideal for fresh graduates who want to gain a foundational understanding of proposal writing, logical framework development, and donor documentation, and are eager to work in the humanitarian and development sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Donor Mapping & Data Management

  • Support the Partnership Development Coordinator in maintaining an updated database of current and potential donors, partners, and funding opportunities.
  • Conduct basic desk research to identify new institutional, corporate, and foundation donors aligned with AFH's thematic priorities.
  • Maintain a donor tracker that includes funding deadlines, partnership history, and engagement progress.
  • Assist in compiling information and data for donor profiling and partnership outreach materials.
  • Ensure donor and partnership records are systematically organized and easily accessible for reporting and proposal purposes.

2. Concept Note & Proposal Support

  • Assist in drafting concept notes, proposals, and supporting documents in line with donor formats and guidelines.
  • Support the development of logical frameworks, results-based matrices, and project summaries.

3. Documentation & Due Diligence Records

  • Maintain and regularly update official documentation required for institutional due diligence, including legal registrations, policies, and governance records.
  • Ensure all AFH Pakistan due diligence folders are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Support the preparation of documentation packages for partner onboarding, donor assessments, and compliance reviews.

4. Reporting & Data Management

  • Maintain a centralized and updated database of project information, donor contacts, funding deadlines, and reporting schedules.
  • Ensure that data and records are systematically organized and easily accessible to relevant teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Social Sciences, preferably in Development Studies, International Relations, or other relevant field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian and development work.

  • This is a desk-based internship located at AFH's Pakistan Office in Islamabad.
  • The role is part of the Partnership Development team, reporting directly to the Partnership Development Coordinator.
