Job Purpose: The Communication Officer will lead all communication, visibility, and advocacy-related activities, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and effective outreach.

Duration: 7 Months 

Positions: 2 (1 Male & 1 Female)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce communication and visibility materials.
  • Prepare presentations and lead development of communication products, including advocacy content and project documentary.
  • Develop key messages and scripts for radio, social media, and advocacy campaigns.
  • Prepare storyboards and coordinate field filming for the documentary.
  • Review drafts and finalize the documentary in line with ethical and safeguarding standards.
  • Coordinate with national and regional media outlets (e.g., Dawn, The News, The Nation, Daily Jang) for coverage of project activities.
  • Develop content for articles, press releases, and op-eds.
  • Capture high-quality photos & videos of project activities and ensure compliance with donor visibility guidelines.
  • Act as a focal point between EPA Malakand, EPA Peshawar, and project teams for communication approvals and coordination.
  • Manage digital outreach and social media platforms. Draft, review, and adapt content for public awareness.
  • Ensure regular updates of websites and social media platforms with accurate and consistent information.
  • Support media and risk communication by sharing timely environmental alerts and campaign messages.
  • Maintain records of communication materials, photos, and content outputs.
  • Track basic analytics and prepare reports on outreach performance.
  • Build capacity of staff on content development, media handling, and social media use.
  • Ensure all communication follows ethical, safeguarding, and donor compliance standards.
  • Perform any other tasks required for effective project implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, or a related field (Bachelor’s with relevant experience may be considered).
  • At least 2 years of experience in content development, social media management, and public awareness campaigns.
