Position Purpose

The Coordinator Engineering will lead and supervise construction activities across three districts, ensuring quality implementation of civil works in accordance with approved drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications. The position will work under the guidance of the Manager Technical and provide technical oversight to field engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision & Quality Assurance

•        Supervise all construction works across assigned districts through regular field visits.
•        Ensure all works comply with approved BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
•        Verify site layouts, markings, and levels before execution.
•        Ensure adherence to quality standards through inspections.                                                                                                                           

  Technical Oversight & Field Support

  • ·       Provide technical guidance to Field Engineers and Senior Engineers.
  • ·       Review complex drawings and ensure proper implementation.
  • ·       Identify challenges and provide practical solutions.
  • ·       Ensure proper execution of structural and building components.
  • 
    
  • Testing & Compliance
  • Supervise lab and field tests including slump and cube tests.
  • Ensure compliance with material and construction standards
    

  • Planning, Monitoring & Reporting

    • ·       Conduct monthly project reviews and planning.
    • ·       Prepare and submit progress reports.
    • ·       Coordinate with Finance for documentation and payments.
    • ·       Provide feedback on risks and progress.

    Coordination & Liaison

    •        Coordinate with district administration and stakeholders.
    •        Align technical and social feasibility with programme teams.
    •       Support surveys and data analysis.

    • Capacity Building
    •        Train and mentor engineering staff.
    •        Build technical capacity of field teams.

    Reporting Line

    Reports to Manager Technical.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • ·       Strong knowledge of structural engineering and construction management.
    • ·       Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
    • ·       Advanced MS Office skills.
    • ·       Ability to interpret complex drawings and layouts.
    • ·       Expertise in site layout marking.
    • ·       Knowledge of construction testing procedures.
    • ·       Strong problem solving and report writing skills.

    • Qualification & Experience

    • •        Civil Engineering or Master’s degree with 7 years’ experience.
      •        Preference for Structural Engineering specialization.
      •        Registered as a Registered Engineer or Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council.
