Job Description:

The Project Coordinator will lead the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of the Gilgit Baltistan Local Area Development Programme (Diamer). The position will ensure timely delivery of project activities, effective stakeholder engagement, compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and efficient management of project resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project implementation and ensure achievement of approved targets and deliverables.
  • Prepare and monitor work plans, activity schedules, and implementation progress.
  • Coordinate with government departments, local authorities, community institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise project staff and ensure effective team performance and communication.
  • Monitor project quality, compliance, risks, and implementation challenges.
  • Prepare technical, progress, and donor reports and maintain project documentation.
  • Oversee project budgets, expenditures, procurement, and administrative processes.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and knowledge management activities.
  • Promote community participation, ownership, and sustainability of project interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, gender, environmental, and organizational policies.
  • Support project visibility, communication, and documentation of achievements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director Programs and Partnerships.

  • Submission of quality reports and documentation.

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in project management, Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in development project management.
  • Experience in project implementation, reporting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with donor funded and community-based development projects will be preferred.
  • Experience in Diamer district will be an added advantage.
