Introduction of Organization:
Introduction of Organization: Association for Gender Awareness & Human Empowerment (AGAHE) is a national non-government organization (NGO) established in 2007 under the Societies Act, 1860 in Punjab with a vision to ‘create an enabling environment for vulnerable segments of society where they can utilize their full potential for improvement in their lives and have equal opportunities to safeguard their rights. Core thematic areas of AGAHE include Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Nutrition, Sustainable Livelihood, Governance, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
Purpose of Assignment:
AGAHE is implementing the project titled “Building Climate Resilience through Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Green Infrastructure in Flood-Affected Areas of Punjab.” The project aims to restore essential social services, strengthen climate resilience of vulnerable communities, and support sustainable livelihoods in targeted districts affected by floods. The project is being implemented in District Kasur (UC Shehjra and UC Mokal), District Okara (UC Rohella Tejeka and UC Attari), and District Sialkot (UC Chahr Bajwa and UC Bajra Garhi), focusing on the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure and community-based resilience building interventions. Under this initiative, AGAHE intends to develop a comprehensive documentary to systematically capture and present the baseline (pre-intervention) and endline (post-intervention) conditions of the project areas. The documentary will highlight key interventions, including rehabilitation of infrastructure, community mobilization, capacity building, and promotion of climate-resilient practices, while showcasing tangible changes at household and community levels across the targeted Union Councils. The purpose of the documentary is to visually demonstrate the project’s impact, including improvements in access to basic services (such as water, sanitation, health, and education), enhanced community resilience to climate-related shocks, and positive socio-economic outcomes for beneficiaries. It will also document beneficiary voices, success stories, and lessons learned, serving as a strategic communication and knowledge-sharing tool for stakeholders, donors, and wider audiences.
