Primary function/purpose

The Training unit provides technical, programmatic, and capacity building services in the area of training and capacity building, which are critical to achieving the organization’s mission. The unit is responsible for providing a range of services related to training need assessment, curriculum development, training plans development, implementation, and facilitating a diverse training programs.

The purpose of this position is to help the Training team in supporting the design and development of curriculum and materials for various training and capacity building programs focused on election activities in Pakistan and play an essential role in ensuring that high-quality trainings are delivered to public private stakeholders.

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Develop tools and conduct training needs assessments for multiple public and private sector stakeholders
  • Coordinate research related to training and material development, in liaison with relevant stakeholders including contributing to planning and writing documents
  • Plan, coordinate and develop instructional manuals / curriculum for variety of training and capacity building as per need assessment and guidelines shared by Sr. Training Manager.
  • Co-Facilitate/ facilitate training sessions/ specialized training courses for public and private stakeholders, utilizing effective instructional techniques and adult learning methodologies
  • Design and develop training plan/s, targeting public and private sector stakeholders.
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of trainings and gather regular/periodic feedback from trainers and trainees
  • Develop training reports, review and analyze training data, monitoring reports and training progress updates as per training requirements as well as documenting lessons learned.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Position requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
  • Knowledge of electoral context in Pakistan
  • At least 6 years of work experience in relevant areas, including demonstrated experience in designing and material development related to trainings and capacity building program
  • Experience working with international NGOs preferred
  • Wiling to travel as and when required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required
