Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Repairing Technician to lead a comprehensive training program focused on mobile phone repair and maintenance. This role is designed to provide trainees with the technical expertise needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mobile technology and be adept at delivering hands-on training. The program will be conducted for beneficiaries in Ghotki and Khairpur Districts, Sindh, with a focus on practical skills and industry best practices.

 

Scope of Work

The Mobile Repairing Technician will be responsible for:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and adapt a detailed curriculum for mobile phone repair and maintenance, covering topics such as hardware diagnostics, software troubleshooting, and component replacement.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions, focusing on practical skills for mobile repair. Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises.
  • Skills Assessment: Evaluate trainees' technical skills through assessments and adapt training methods as needed to address specific learning needs.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and support to trainees, helping them resolve complex repair issues and understand advanced repair techniques.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of training tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and available for training sessions.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly update the project team with progress reports, including training outcomes, challenges, and successes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all training activities and technical instructions meet high standards and adhere to industry best practices.

Expected Outputs/Deliverables

  • Curriculum Development: Create and finalize a comprehensive curriculum for mobile phone repair and maintenance.
  • Training Sessions: Deliver effective training sessions with practical, hands-on experience for trainees.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot complex issues encountered during training.
  • Progress Reports: Submit regular progress reports detailing training progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all training materials, methods, and equipment adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Deliverables (90 days):

  • Inception Work Plan: Outline initial plans and objectives for the training program.
  • Develop Curriculum: Create detailed training materials and schedules.
  • Conduct Training: Implement training sessions and assess technical needs.
  • Facilitate Technical Support: Provide on-site support and troubleshooting.
  • Progress Reports: Submit regular updates on training progress and quality assurance.
  • Final Report: Deliver a comprehensive final report on training outcomes and project impact.

Methodology

The technician will:

  • Utilize Provided Curriculum: Modify and adapt the curriculum to fit local needs and technological requirements.
  • Coordinate with : Collaborate closely with the Organization team to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Implement Training: Deliver training based on the modified curriculum and provide practical support.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly update the project team on training progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for training-related issues.

5. Key Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mobile phone repair and maintenance, with a strong technical background.
  • Training Skills: Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs based on provided curricula.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mobile technology, repair techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to project areas and engage with local communities.

Reporting Requirements

The technician will report directly to the Project Manager, providing regular updates on training activities, progress, and any challenges encountered. Monthly progress reports and updates on the implementation of work plans are required.
