PKR. 200,000 – 250,000 per month, all inclusive

Description

A reputable organization based in Islamabad has established a Center focused on developing public and private sector proposals for climate change mitigation and adaptation, aiming to access international and national climate change funds.

1. Scope

The HR Officer will work as part of a team and provide effective support throughout the employee life cycle. This includes staff recruitment, contracts management, staff skills development, performance management, orientations, staff grievance handling and benefits administration.

2. Key areas of responsibilities

a.      Recruitment & Selection:

  • Carryout end to end recruitment process starting from advertisement to staff inductions. The process includes designing and posting job advertisements; longlisting / shortlisting, arranging interviews; background checks; and inductions.
  • Work closely withtheManagement to ensure timely and effective recruitment of qualified candidates by following organization’spolicies and procedures.
  • Maintains an active and organized data bank of applicants for various positions.
  • Maintain a database of various tests and act as custodian for that database
  • Prepare all personnel and administrative related correspondences (i.e. job offer letters, regret letters, employment contracts, promotions, transfers, resignation, final settlements, etc.).
  • Ensure that all HR documentation, are well maintained and compliant with HR Manual
  • Arrange induction of new hires by providing support and advice to line managers on the design, facilitation and content of induction session. Ensure each new staff feels welcomed and receive a comprehensive induction.

b.      Performance Management:

  • Ensure that the performance management process is adhered to policies and procedures within time frame which include setting up performance objectives, bi-annual performance reviews, keep track record of under performance staff, maintain record of all performance appraisals.
  • Support line managers with all the tools and templates of performance management.
  • Support line managers in carrying out learning and development activities.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware and have access to the mandatory policies and HR resources

c.       Compensation and Benefits:

  • Support the timely preparation and processing of payroll which includes accurate staff details, benefit administration and statutory deductions.
  • Interpret the compensation and benefits policies to staff and handle queries.
  • Ensure that the leaver process of staff leaving the organization should be completed timely which includes clearance, exit interviews and terminal benefit payment to the staff

d.      Employee Relations:

  • Ensure that organizational code of conduct is signed and understood by all staff.
  • Handle grievance cases by keeping track record of all cases and maintain confidentiality.

2. Qualification:

Education:Bachelors or Master degree in Business Administration with majors in HRM, Social Sciences or any other related discipline

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within climate, energy, and resilience-related projects. Experience working with the International Development Partners will be preferred.

3. Required Skills: (Certification, diploma etc.)

  • Diploma or certification in Human Resource Management (Desirable)
  • Behavioral Competencies: (Essential and Desirable)
  • Good oral and written skills in English Language
  • Good organizational and planning skills with excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Good knowledge of Pakistan Labour Law
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communication skillswith an ability to deal with staff at all levels

4. Other Terms & Conditions

  • The duration of the contract will be one year, with a three-month probationary period. The contract can be extended annually for the project duration.
