CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:  

Under general supervision of SHC, responsible for organization, maintenance, and  management of clinic pharmacy and drug distribution to the clinic clients.  Fills drug orders, requisitions, and way bills dispenses medicines, advise the health team regarding the nature and use of drugs, and train and/or supervise pharmacy staff at various sites. Prepare and maintain all necessary records on drugs purchased, received dispatched and inventory. 

SCOPE OF ROLE:  

Reports to: Pharmacist & Senior Program  Coordinator

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY : 

  • To conduct quality inspection of Health & Nutritional supplies received at Pishin warehouse, assist to Warehouse Officer in inventory management, conduct periodic inventory checks and ensure Good Storage & Distribution Practices at all times.
  • To receive and analyze Supply Request Forms from project’ health facilities, duly authorized by Senior Program Coordinator and assist to Warehouse Officer, Pishin to arrange/dispatch supplies in time.
  • Conduct regular field visits on weekly/biweekly or need based; supervise, monitor and provide support to all dispensers and medical team on inventory management/consumption pattern, prescription analysis and pharmacy management.
  • Promote patient safety in relation to use of medicines through ensure Good Storage Practices  and Good Prescribing & Dispensing Practices at HF level.
  • Manage and report any short expiry /damaged stock or any stock discrepancies by closely following up of the stock.
  • Prepare Monthly consolidated consumption report in line with HF record and its timely reporting   to Country Office’ Pharmacist & Senior Program Coordinator.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor/Line Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS  

Doctor of Pharmacy, registered with Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with a minimum of 02 years relevant experience.
  • Must have working experience in humanitarian emergencies.
  • Working experience of Warehousing, Inventory Management & Pharmacy Management.
  • Fluency English and local languages will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility, motivation, and maturity
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the different areas, as needed.
