A national non-profit organization requires dynamic professionals to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator on contract basis in a donor-funded program.

Job Description:

  1. Implement the program activities to high-quality standards aligned with the organizational strategy and donor requirements.
  2. Assist in developing strategic documents as required.
  3. Establish and maintain a robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system.
  4. Periodically review and adapt the M&E system to changing contexts.
  5. Develop and enhance qualitative and quantitative M&E practices and tools.
  6. Ensure M&E and Health Information System (HIS) tools meet reporting standards.
  7. Supervise and analyze M&E and HIS data to improve program quality.
  8. Create M&E plans for district and provincial teams, reviewing their effectiveness regularly.
  9. Validate accuracy and quality of M&E, HIS data and reports.
  10. Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of HIS and M&E data
  11. Provide timely and user-friendly M&E and HIS information to stakeholders.
  12. Share district progress on key performance indicators monthly and quarterly.
  13. Train and manage M&E, HIS and district teams, identifying capacity-building opportunities.
  14. Contribute to weekly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
  15. Coordinate with other departments based on M&E findings.
  16. Serve as the liaison between district offices and the senior management for monitoring activities.
  17. Verify accuracy and completeness of M&E reports.
  18. Represent the organization in stakeholder coordination and review meetings.
  19. Prepare and present quarterly Progress Update reports and facilitate verification teams.
  20. Travel frequently to oversee program implementation.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Education and Qualifications

MBBS or Masters in, Allied Medical Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Social Sciences or other relevant qualification from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience and Requirements

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the relevant field, including:
    1. Health project management
    2. Monitoring and evaluation of health programs
    3. Health data management
    4. Critical analysis and reporting
    5. Experience with the Malaria Control Program will be a significant advantage.
    6. Must be willing to travel to field locations and work effectively under pressure.

Skills:

  • M&E Expertise: Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, data collection, analysis tools and reporting
  • Health Information Systems: Proficiency in using and managing HIS tailored for health programs e.g. DHIS 2
  • Data Analysis Software and MS Office: Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata), data visualization tools and proficiency in using MS Office
  • Report Writing: Excellent skills in preparing reports that meet donor and organizational standards.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team and stakeholder engagement.
  • Team Management: Leadership skills and experience in managing and supervising teams, with a focus on capacity building.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to changing contexts and address challenges in project implementation.
