Terms of Reference (TORs)

1. Background

• Organization Name and Intro: Kindernothilfe e.V. (KNH) is an international Non-Governmental Organization working in Pakistan on the areas of Child well-being, Women Development and Community Development in Different areas of Pakistan intends to conduct a training workshop on Capacity Building of our Local Partner Organization in Pakistan on Climate Resilience & Mitigation. The major aim of the training is to build the capacity of the partner organizations in child protection area.

2. Objectives

• Objective: “To enhance the knowledge and technical skills of the team members on “climate resilience and mitigation through training.” After the training participants will be able to ensure the incorporation of climate resilience and mitigation plans in all their programs and projects.
• Climate adaptation will be cross cutting of all the programs and project being run by partners

3. Scope of Work

• Training Topics: Must be finalized by consultant and approved by KNH and KNH will also provide the manuals to design the training.
• Methodology: The consultants are expected to use a participatory approach, ensuring that training is engaging and relevant to given modules.
• Duration: Five days training.
• Participants: There will be 20-25 participants for the training.

4. Deliverables

• Training Materials: Training Material will be developed by trainer by keeping the topic in view, and KNH will provide the guidelines through KNH modules.
• Evaluation: Trainer will submit evaluation report summarizing participant feedback and recommendations along with the action planning by participants/organizations.

5. Consultant’s Qualifications

• Eligibility Criteria:

a)     Expertise in climate resilience and mitigation training and planning.

b)    Experience in training design and delivery

c)     Strong facilitation and communication skills

6. Reporting and Communication

• Reports: Consultant is supposed to share the report within two weeks after training.
• Communication Channels: Report will be submitted to CRP Program Manager by keeping the Country Manager KNH in line.

7. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

• Confidentiality: Consultant will keep it confidentiality of any information received during the training.
• Intellectual Property: KNH will be owner and custodian of any training materials and intellectual property created during the consultancy.

8. Payment Terms

v Payment will be made upon submission of satisfactory training report.

v NO advance payment will be made.

v All the payment will be made through cheque.

v No additional amounts will be claimed outside the agreed budget for the consultancy task.

9. Timeline

• Proposal Submission Deadline: Thursday, 24^th October 2024
• Selection and Contracting: Last Week of October 2024
• Training Schedule: Training is scheduled in the first week of December 2024.

No late submissions shall be entertained. In case organizations submits incomplete documents (missing any of the required documents and information) the submission will not be considered for further processing. 

NOTE: The proposals will be subject to screening and evaluation based on our criteria and only short-listed firms/consultants will be contacted for further process. Please note that this proposal does not entail any commitment towards a contract on the part of the organization or bear any cost subject to the submission of the proposals. The organization reserves the right to accept or reject all or any proposal without assigning any reason what so ever.
