Job Description: Program Communication Officer
Organization Unit: Program
Reports To: Senior Program Advisor
Primary function/purpose
The Program Communication Officer will design and implement media and communication products, including IEC materials, success stories, and marketing strategies for program visibility and promotions. S/he will ensure all content complies with donor branding, manage reports, and coordinate with designers for quality control. S/he will also maintain digital platforms, develop communication tools, and facilitate internal communication within the program team.
Major duties and responsibilities
- Design media and communication related products including need-based IEC materials, success stories of direct beneficiaries and documentaries
- Create communication and marketing strategies for products, launches, events and promotions
- Ensure all communication materials comply with donor branding and visibility requirements
- Ensure that program reports are generated in timely manner and adhere to established schedules
- Develop, edit, and manage high-quality content, including press releases, social media posts, newsletters, brochures, and reports
- Track and analyze the impact of communication activities, preparing regular reports on performance and reach.
- Coordinate with the Graphic Designer for program design tasks, and ensure quality checks are completed before printing and publication
- Maintain design and content of public website, intranet as and when requested
- Develop communication tools for events, workshops, and trainings
- Facilitate effective internal communication within the program team and across departments
