Duties and Responsibilities

Under overall guidance and supervision of Project Manager the Field Officer will:

• Mobilize, organize and motivate project committees for rehabilitation of irrigation channels, land reclamation, protection walls and Animal sheds in the project target area.
• Establish good working and harmonious relations with local stakeholders (communities and local representative).
• Develop Term of Partnerships, agreements, meeting minutes and field visit for each activity of the project.
• Plan social mobilization activities and develop terms of partnership to be signed with the communities.
• Organize awareness raising, capacity building and other project activities
• Accomplish any task assigned apart from the project activities by the reporting officer
• Maintain the socioeconomic data /information and reports in hard and soft form.
• Weekly submit progress Report on project status.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Postgraduate degree in sociology /anthropology or any other relevant field
2. At least 3 years of similar working experience with a national / international organization
3. Excellent in English and local languages, writing and communication skills
4. Physically fit for traveling / trekking in rugged mountain areas.
5. Familiarity with social, cultural and geo graphical context.
