Since its establishment in 2005, CARE Pakistan (CP) has been responding to major disasters and undertaking an array of development projects. CP works through its local partners and a range of stakeholders for development, as well as emergency response-related interventions, which makes collaboration a key component of its work, across the country. Health and education, with a particular focus on women, are some of CARE’s core identified program areas in Pakistan, as part of its Long-Range Strategic Plan.

CARE Pakistan is going to implement a project, “Early Recovery support for flood affected communities” in district Hyderabad/ Mirpur Khas, Sindh, to sustainably address malnutrition and food security 

Job Summary

CARE Pakistan requires the services of a Cash Disbursement Facilitator. The incumbent will coordinate Village Development Committees (VDCs), and engage, mentor, and facilitate the communities for the organization and establishment of village DRR Committees VDCs, beneficiaries assessment, Distribution of inputs, Awareness sessions and trainings and Cash distribution. The Cash Disbursement Facilitator is a field-based position responsible for directly engaging with communities, government departments, and Civil Society Organizations to establish an effective response. Key of the tasks for the position holder may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1- Job Responsibility 1 (35%):

  • Prepare cash disbursement sheets for cash distribution to beneficiaries.
  • Verify beneficiaries’ names and signatures and consistency with CNIC for cash distribution.
  • Distribute the Cash to the registered beneficiaries as per schedule and amount indicated in the distribution plan.
  • Check, complete documentation and process for the cash
  • Maintain records in hard and soft of all the Cash distribution as required and guided by project manager.
  • Submit the requested documentation daily, making sure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure implementation of all donor guidelines regarding disbursements of cash.
  • Submit daily and weekly updates to the project manager.
  • Accomplish any other duty assigned by the project manager including field visits, beneficiary surveys etc.
  • Documentation and record keeping of ongoing activities, Identify/suggest potential interventions at grassroots level.
  • Assist Management with feedback and timely reporting for observation and analysis in field activities and maintaining database for follow up impact or lesson Learnt.
  • Any other assignment which is given by the Project Manager.
  • Meet with VDC members, Self Help Groups, and other structures for feedback and coordination.
  • Disseminate updates and information within the team and community.

2- Job Responsibility 2 (30%):

  • Support CARE MEAL team for beneficiaries’ validation and PDM.
  • Finalization of assessment for KG, MHM, Newborn Baby winterization kits and MPCA.
  • Prepare and share field-level data for compilation and submission.
  • Use bank and CARE guidelines for beneficiary’s database.
  • Keep records of the project in both hard and soft formats.
3- Job Responsibility 3 (30%):
  • Deliver KG and MHM sessions with the support of resource persons.
  • Mobilize communities for DRR planning and mitigation.
  • Engage community members in project-related activities.
  • Conduct capacity building sessions for teammates, community structures, and parents.
  • Plan and participate in national/international awareness campaigns and events.
4- Perform Other Duties as Assigned (5%):
  • Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the organization or the emergency situation.
  • Ensure full compliance with CARE International’s Safety & Security Principles, recognizing that safety and security is everyone’s responsibility
  • QUALIFICATIONS (KNOW HOW)

A) Education/Training:

Required

 University degree (Bachelor/ Master) in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economy, Econometrics, or similar

B) Experience:

At least 3 years of similar work experiene.
