Job Summary:
The Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of organization staff, assets, and operations in KP Province. The incumbent will assess and mitigate security risks, implement safety protocols, and maintain liaison with local authorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct Security Assessments and Risk Analyses:
Regularly evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities associated with organization operations in KP Province, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
2. Develop and Implement Security Plans:
Formulate, implement, and update comprehensive security plans, protocols, and procedures that align with organizational objectives and the local security context.
3. Monitor and Report Security Incidents:
Continuously monitor security developments and report incidents, threats, or concerns to senior management, ensuring timely response and mitigation.
4. Ensure Compliance with Security Policies:
Ensure adherence to Organization security policies, procedures, and relevant international standards, updating protocols as necessary.
5. Liaison with Local Authorities:
Maintain effective working relationships with local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and other security stakeholders to gather timely security information and facilitate coordinated response efforts.
6. Conduct Staff Security Briefings and Training:
Provide regular security briefings and training sessions to organization staff, ensuring they are well-informed about security protocols, safety measures, and emergency response plans.
7. Manage Security Logistics:
Oversee and coordinate all security-related logistics, including vehicle movements, escorts, and securing safe transportation for staff and assets.
8. Maintain Security Equipment:
Ensure proper use, functionality, and maintenance of all security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and other safety systems.
9. Investigate Security Incidents:
Investigate and document security incidents, breaches, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
10. Provide 24/7 Emergency Response:
Serve as the focal point for emergency security response, providing support and coordination around the clock to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel in emergency situations.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Crisis Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or security certification (e.g. Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Security Management Certification, PSP) is a plus.

Minimum of 3-5 years security management experience in KP Province, preferably with NGOs or international organizations.

Proven experience in risk assessment, incident response, and crisis management in challenging environments.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Familiarity with local and international security standards and best practices.

Knowledge of security technologies, including access control, CCTV, and GPS tracking.

Familiarity with KP Province's security landscape
Skills and Competencies:

Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, with fluency in [specify languages required].

Working Conditions:

Desirable Qualifications:
