 Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Ensure accuracy in measuring and packaging medications.
  • Receive and interpret prescription orders from healthcare professionals.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of prescription information.
  • Maintain and manage the pharmacy inventory.
  • Monitor medication stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Check for expired medications and remove them from the shelves.
  • Assist Patients with prescription inquiries and provide information on over-the-counter medications.
  • Address Patient concerns or questions related to medications.
  • Properly label prescription medications with dosage instructions and other relevant information.
  • Package medications securely for dispensing.
  • Provide basic information to patients about prescribed medications, including usage instructions and potential side effects.
  • Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.
  • Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescription details.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding the dispensing of medications.
  • Follow pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on dispensed medications to ensure accuracy.
  • Report any discrepancies or concerns to the supervising pharmacist.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent medication errors.
  • Monitor for potential drug interactions or contraindications.
  • Stay updated on new medications, dosage forms, and pharmaceutical regulations through ongoing training and education.

 

Education

  • Qualified and registered Dispenser from Medical Faculty KP or Certified Diploma in Dispensary from Government Recognized Institute.

Experience

  • Minimum 03 years of working experience in primary/secondary/tertiary hospitals/health facilities

Competencies

  • Good command of Microsoft Office (word, excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients.
  • Knowledge of local and national healthcare regulations.

Domicile

KP (preference will be given to local candidates)
