Job Title: Project Coordinator
Project/Dept. Integrated Disaster Preparedness (DP) for Resilience Building
Reports to: Project Manager
Supervises: Social Mobilizer
Location: Noshki

Job Overview/Summary.

The Project Coordinator will support the overall program related activities, communication, meetings arrangements, and other programs by supporting information management, team coordination and planning.

Major Responsibilities

  • Drafting/Developing the project/intervention annual work plan and assisting Manager in developing the final Annual Work plan and ensuring the execution of project/ Intervention annual work plan.
  • Assisting Manager in developing presentation for reviews & actively participating in these reviews & defending the project activities & outcomes
  • Ensuring his/her project Social mapping, Baseline/KAP Survey, stakeholder analysis, Log frame of the project, maintenance of separate files of each village/VO/CO/LSO/component, documentation of all project intervention, final Evaluations, project closing/completion report and final/third party evaluation or completed in line with the program deadlines
  • Conducting review meetings with respective authorities for updating them on progress, highlighting the gaps & issues, taking a mutual decision and developing the action plan for addressing the gaps & issues
  • Media management for up to the mark media coverage of project activities through press releases, supplements & editorials (Social media, electronic media & print media)
  • Assist in collecting, compiling and organizing the flow of information from the field;
  • Attend external meetings on behalf of Organization, and participate in internal meetings and ensure the flow of information, writing meeting minutes and share feedback with Project Manager.
  • Background information collection and organization on the broader projects in the field including emergency response
  • Update program information and support in developing relevant project documentation, including monthly/quarterly reports, monitoring tools, fact sheets, newsletter etc.
  • Support planning and coordination with teams, including organization and support of Humanitarian Program Meetings, information dissemination;
  • Collect, compile and disseminate program work plans;
  • Manage and oversee the assigned nutrition team including day-to-day management, development, and training, registrations, assessments
  • Facilitate regular team meetings with the assigned mobilization team, reviewing team and individual objectives, ensuring team members are kept informed of issues relevant to their work, and providing an opportunity for feedback
  • Ensure the assigned Mobilization team members receive relevant and appropriate supervision, coaching, mentoring, and training in order to develop their personal and professional skills, knowledge, and understanding
  • Promote the health and security of the Social Mobilization team by ensuring the application of security guidelines, health and safety in the workplace, and healthy living conditions and practices Financial Managemen

Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Masters’ degree in social or natural science discipline addition qualification would be given preference.
  • Minimum 3 year’s professional experience specially served on Management position preferably in development sector.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of local community and related cultural sensitivities
  • Ability to influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholder group
  • Knowledge & understanding of Social sector approaches, interventions & community based practices.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Budget planning & execution and monitoring of burn rate
  • Computer skills & Report writing skills
  • Excellent Human Resource Management skills
  • Analytical skills & ability to link micro issues with the macro problems/sinario
  • Excellent computer knowledge specially on MS Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong coordination skills

Language Skills: 

Fluent, professional level speaking, reading and writing in English Urdu and Pashto
