2. General Position Summary

The Creative Communication Officer will be based in Islamabad and will work under the direct supervision of the Manager in Islamabad.

Creative Communication Officer will be responsible for providing design support for case studies, developing communication material with internal and external key stakeholders, preparing donor briefs, supporting the design of advocacy briefs/material, support in designing and implementing information/awareness raising campaigns. The said position would also extend photography and videography support for SIF ongoing projects. This position requires very frequent and close coordination with all key program staff within SIF and externally. Reporting to the Communications and Advocacy Manager, the position will work closely with country office and field office program staff and partners.

3. Essential Job Function

MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

The specific activities of the Creative Communication Officer will include the following:

  • Field visits to learn and understand the contexts and visually document and capturing stories from field which can/should be shared widely.
  • Maintain SIF photo repository and ensure all content is aligned with global guidelines and have documented consent forms.
  • Develop in-house short video documentaries, testimonials of SIF programming.
  • Design and produce artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs, infographics, visual effects, and report covers for different audiences.
  • Ensure optimal visibility by designing banners, standees, IEC for various projects.
  • Ensure compliance with branding requirements of SIF & donors.
  • Assist in planning and delivering various dissemination/ awareness raising campaigns for SIF broadly.
  • Supporting external audience and partners in designing and implementing communications workplans and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with SIF ethical standards of communications.
  • Liaise with external printers/vendors on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
  • Produce high quality case studies, and pictures.  
  • Writing and editing high quality analytical reports, publications, case studies, content for documentary, radio messages and taking minutes during meetings.

This list is not limited; the employee may be required to perform any other task necessary and compatible with the functions assigned by the supervisor/HOM.

 

4. REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Education:   Master’s degree/ Bachelor degree in mass communications, Media/Portfolio Management, or equivalent

 

Experience: 2 years (Preferred experience with INGOs)

 

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound skills and experience of designing and implementing awareness and advocacy campaigns.
  • Innovative & creative (with content development, generation and visualization) 
  • Excellent communication, reporting/documenting and analytical skills
  • Proficient in qualitative analysis and documenting them into high-quality analytical reports.
  • Computer skills including MS- Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, proven self-initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Media management
