1.1. Request for Proposals – Service Notice
1.1.1. Nutrition International (NI), a non-profit agency dedicated to eliminating vitamin and mineral deficiencies worldwide, invites proposals from competent agency/consultant to provide Support to Government Departments on Introduction of Mandatory Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) across Pakistan
1.2. Background
1.2.1. Nutrition International (NI), is implementing a Large-Scale Food Fortification program in Pakistan. The program aims to support and strengthen food regulatory authorities and food departments in all provinces to ensure the implementation and enforcement of large-scale food fortification. NI is also providing technical support to edible salt and oil and wheat flour millers to ensure their production processes comply with government standards for food fortification.
1.2.2. Under this program, NI seeks to engage a consultancy firm to advocate and provide technical assistance to provincial food authorities and food departments for the development and modification of existing monitoring checklists and digitize these for field/mill-level use. This engagement aims to ensure strong and comprehensive implementation and enforcement of food fortification-related SOPs for effective quality control in their respective jurisdictions.
1.2.3. This Request for Proposals (RFP) and particularly the Guidelines for Preparing Proposals that follow, are designed to help Respondents to produce proposals that are acceptable to the NI, and to ensure that all proposals are given equal consideration. It is essential, therefore, that Respondents provide the complete information that is requested, and in the formats and on the terms specified.
