Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Human Resource Officer. This position is based at Central Office, Karachi.
The HR Officer will be a part of the Global HR team and will support global HR projects in data collection and analysis and templating information from seven countries/regions, coordinating project meetings, and preparing insightful reports summarizing key findings
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in various global HR projects, contributing to their successful completion
- Solicit and consolidate data for the various projects by coordinating with project teams and HR teams in 7 countries/regions.
- Assist in gathering and compiling data from market-based compensation surveys; support analysis and help monitor trends to inform compensation planning discussions with senior HR staff.
- Conduct research on HR practices and employee benefits within comparator organizations and AKDN agencies; summarize findings to support policy and benefit review proposals.
- Support the review of grading structures by preparing comparison data and identifying discrepancies, contributing to alignment efforts across AKHS units and other AKDN entities.
- Support the job evaluation project team, using established methodologies and tools.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions, ensuring alignment with AKHS institutional structure and requirements.
- Maintain project files, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Independently coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation, minute-taking, and action item follow-up.
- Research the best practices relevant to the assigned project.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to data management, project coordination, or reporting.
- Support in creating impactful presentations and reports summarizing project findings and progress.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee data and HR information.
- Contribute to the broader HR function, including carrying out administrative tasks as required.
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Bachelor's or preferably Master’s degree in HR or in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resource Management. Experience of working with international teams, will be advantageous.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of HR principles and procedures.
- A self-starter with a high level of initiative and motivation and a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Technical ability and willingness to learn new systems as required for the role.
