Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) is a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017.  SRSO invites applications from energetic, well-qualified, and experienced individuals for the below position:


Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field.

Requirement: 3+ years of experience working on engineering projects, ideally within the district where the job is located, preferably in emergency rehabilitation of civil infrastructure.

Work Station:  Position based at Taluka Jhuddo, District Mirpurkhas, Sindh, Pakistan.


  • Scope of Work: Must know about Assessment and Planning, Compliance and Quality Assurance, Work Supervision, and Implementation of Rehabilitation work along with stakeholders.

  • Skills & Abilities: Technical Expertise, Construction Oversight, Collaborative Skills, Computer literacy in relevant software and tools i.e., AutoCAD, etc. PEC certification shall be a plus point.

  • Job Type: Contractual, Full Time.

  • Job Description:

  • Create a comprehensive Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) of rehabilitation work outlining the specific activities to be executed within the project.

  • Devise and put into action strategies for adapting to and mitigating the impacts of climate change on infrastructure and the environment.

  • Identify rehabilitation activities through the use of appropriate assessment tools and submit reports, including technical formats like Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and layout designs.

  • Assess potential climate change risks and establish actionable plans in response.

  • Encourage the adoption of green infrastructure solutions, such as green roofs, through community-driven initiatives within the Local Support Organization (LSO) platform.

  • Collaborate with the local community associated with the LSO to enhance awareness about the impacts of climate change and the importance of resilient infrastructure.

  • Compile comprehensive reports and documentation detailing efforts towards climate resilience and the outcomes of the project.

  • Develop contingency plans for extreme weather events and other disasters related to climate change.

  • Guarantee the resilience of critical infrastructure in times of emergencies.

  • Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct and reporting procedures.

  • Perform any other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
