Position Purpose
The Project Officer will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities under the Emergency Flood Response Project in Buner district. The role ensures that field operations run smoothly, project objectives are achieved within the given timeframe, and reporting and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Implementation
- Support the Project Manager in executing daily project activities in line with workplans.
- Coordinate field teams (WASH, Health, Nutrition, Psychosocial Support) to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Monitor progress against targets and flag operational bottlenecks.
- Coordination & Liaison
- Act as focal point with local authorities, community representatives, and partner organizations at the field level.
- Ensure effective communication between technical staff and management.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Collect and compile field data, beneficiary information, and activity reports.
- Support MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) processes, including beneficiary feedback.
- Draft weekly/monthly progress reports for internal and donor submission.
- Compliance & Accountability
- Ensure activities comply with donor requirements.
- Support financial and logistics teams to maintain transparent documentation of project expenses and procurement.
- Capacity Building & Team Support
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to field staff and community mobilizers.
- Identify training needs and propose solutions to strengthen team performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Disaster Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience in project implementation, preferably in emergency or humanitarian settings.
- Strong understanding of disaster response, humanitarian principles, and community-based approaches.
- Proven skills in coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Fluency in Pashto and Urdu; good English skills (written and spoken).
