Position Title: Mid-Level Human Resources Professional – Inspection Industry
Department: Human Resources
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Reporting To: Director HR
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven mid-level HR professional with demonstrated expertise across all HR functions and mandatory proficiency in ODOO HRMS. You will join a leading inspection services company, overseeing end-to-end HR operations, aligning people strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance within the inspection and quality assurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
-
Own full-cycle recruitment for inspection, quality, and technical roles: draft JD’s, source niche candidates, coordinate panel interviews, and extend offers via ODOO.
-
Maintain a pipeline of certified inspectors and technical auditors; manage relationships with industry bodies and training institutes.
-
Design and deliver structured onboarding programs for field and site-based staff, ensuring rapid deployment and safety compliance.
2. Performance Management
-
Administer quarterly/annual appraisal cycles in ODOO: set inspection-specific KPIs (e.g., audit turnaround, non-conformance resolution).
-
Train field supervisors on performance calibration and competency-based feedback.
-
Analyze appraisal outcomes to identify skills gaps and succession opportunities in inspection teams.
3. Learning & Development
-
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for inspection protocols, safety standards, and technical certifications.
-
Manage training schedule and ODOO learning modules, ensuring all inspectors maintain valid certifications (e.g., ISO standards).
-
Measure training effectiveness through post-training assessments and on-site performance indicators.
4. Compensation & Benefits
-
Benchmark salary bands for technical inspectors, auditors, and administrative staff within the inspection sector.
-
Administer payroll and benefits programs (insurance, travel allowances for site visits) through ODOO payroll module.
-
Advise leadership on incentive schemes for high-performing inspection teams (e.g., bonus for zero critical findings).
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
-
Act as primary HR liaison for on-site and remote inspection teams; address grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.
-
Lead investigations into safety incidents and non-compliance events; document findings in ODOO and recommend corrective actions.
-
Drive engagement initiatives (safety days, recognition for quality performance, staff surveys) tailored to field-based workforce.
6. HR Policies, Compliance & Reporting
-
Develop and update HR policies specific to inspection operations, including health and safety, travel, and ISO compliance.
-
Ensure legal compliance with labor laws across multiple jurisdictions, managing work permits and statutory filings in ODOO.
-
Generate monthly KPI dashboards (turnover, time-to-deploy, training hours, safety incidents) using ODOO analytics for senior management.
7. HR Systems & Process Improvement
-
Serve as ODOO HRMS superuser: configure modules (Recruitment, Employees, Appraisals, Payroll, eLearning), maintain data integrity, and provide user support.
-
Identify and implement process improvements via ODOO workflows and automation to streamline HR operations and reduce manual tasks.
-
Collaborate with IT and operations to integrate ODOO with inspection management systems and ERP platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification or MBA/MSC in HR preferred.
-
3–5 years of HR experience in industrial, inspection, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors, with hands-on ODOO HRMS expertise.
-
Proven ability to manage HR functions end-to-end, especially within field-based and safety-critical environments.
-
Strong knowledge of ISO standards, health & safety regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
-
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and HR analytics.
Core Competencies
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across office and field operations.
-
Analytical and data-driven mindset; ability to interpret inspection and HR metrics.
-
High integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in safety-critical contexts.
-
Project management skills with the aptitude to balance multiple site assignments and deadlines.
-
Adaptability and problem-solving focus to address unique challenges of inspection work.
Why Join Us?
-
Play a key role in ensuring the integrity and safety of critical infrastructure through strategic HR leadership.
-
Work alongside industry experts in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for career growth and cross-functional projects.
-
Competitive remuneration package, including performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits.
-
A culture that values continuous improvement, employee well-being, and operational excellence.
