Programme: Post-Floods Resilient Recovery and Strengthening of the Livestock Sector in Balochistan - The programme aims to empower communities, particularly women, by organizing them into livestock producer groups for collective production and the establishment of community-led livestock markets. It also seeks to support women and youth-led micro, small, and medium enterprises in developing value chains for sheep, goats, and poultry. The programme will be implemented across 120 union councils in six (6) flood-affected districts of Balochistan. The overall objective of the programme is to contribute to post 2022 floods climate-resilient socioeconomic recovery in the most affected and poorest districts of Balochistan province. The specific objective is improved value chains and market linkages in agriculture and livestock sectors of Balochistan.

• Expected Result/Output 1: Strengthened capacities of target groups in improving value addition and compliance to food safety and sustainability standards.
• Expected Result/Output 2:  Increased livestock assets of target women and men farmers/entrepreneurs.
• Expected Result/Output 3: Enhanced access of women and men farmers to finances for value addition of livestock and livestock products.

THE POSITION:

This position is located at District office and reports to the District Programme Manager.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE POSITION:

S/he will be hired in each district and will coordinate with Livelihood Coordinator for effective implementation of MSMEs and livelihoods activities at the district level.

More Specifically:

• Program Implementation Support
  • Ensure effective rollout of MSMEs and livelihood-related activities in the assigned district as per guideline.
  • Assist in identification and mobilization of potential MSME beneficiaries and support them throughout the business development process.
  • Coordination and Communication
    • Maintain regular coordination with Coordinator Livelihood/SME for technical support and progress updates.
    • Act as the focal point for MSME activities within the district, liaising with district teams, community institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Beneficiary Support
    • Support beneficiaries in understanding training content, completing documentation, and accessing services such as markets, inputs, or financial institutions.
    • Conduct follow-up visits to track progress and challenges of supported MSMEs and livelihood initiatives.
  • Monitoring and Data Collection
    • Collect field data related to MSMEs and livelihoods activities using prescribed tools and formats.
    • Maintain updated records of all district-level beneficiaries, trainings, and support provided.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Submit weekly and monthly progress updates to the District Programme Manager and Coordinator Livelihood/SME.
    • Contribute to documentation of success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS internally with all District Project staff within District office and Head office concern staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in MSME development, livelihoods, or community-based programming.
• Strong interpersonal and field coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the district.
• Familiarity with local language(s) and culture of the assigned district is an advantage.
