A project in Swat District, KP, aims to promote social cohesion by empowering youth through social entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Establish strong working relations with local stakeholders, community elders, religious leaders, and vulnerable community members.
- Organize meetings, awareness sessions, and orientation activities to promote the project and its objectives.
- Conduct regular outreach activities to engage youth, women, and other identified groups to encourage participation in project activities
Participant Mobilization:
· Identify potential participants who meet the project’s selection criteria, ensuring diversity in age, gender, and socio-economic background.
· Collaborate with local institutions, such as schools and mosques, to identify and encourage eligible individuals to apply.
· Support the project team in the screening, interviewing, and selection process, ensuring fair representation from the community.
Feedback Collection and Reporting:
· Collect ongoing feedback from participants and community members, maintaining open communication channels.
· Work closely with the project team to collect and provide data insights for project impact assessments and final reports
Community Needs Assessment:
· Conduct surveys and FGDs to understand community needs and dynamics, particularly keeping in view of project objectives.
Support in Training and Implementation Phases:
· Coordinate with trainers and ensure smooth delivery of training sessions and workshops in the training center.
· Coordinate with Project Manager, Master Trainer in smooth implementation of business plans of the trainees in community.
· Facilitate communication between trainers and participants, assisting with logistics and addressing community-specific requirements.
· Assist in monitoring attendance, engagement, and active participation throughout the training and Social Lab activities.
Event Organization and Coordination:
· Support to plan and organize community events, including Pitch Fest, graduation ceremonies, and Social Lab activities, ensuring broad community participation.
· Collaborate with the M&E Officer to document the outcomes and impacts of these events, gathering stories and testimonials from participants.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization, preferably in peacebuilding, development projects, or conflict-prone regions.
Skills Requirements:
· Experience of livelihoods projects.
· Strong knowledge of community engagement techniques and an understanding of local social and cultural dynamics.
· Ability to build and maintain trust with diverse community members, particularly in culturally sensitive contexts of Swat.
· Proficient in supporting the team staff in organizing community events, handling logistics, and managing time effectively.
· Understanding of gender dynamics within Swat’s communities and the ability to navigate them with cultural sensitivities
· Proficiency in gathering qualitative data, managing community feedback, and preparing concise progress reports.
· Familiarity with basic data entry software or reporting tools for documentation purposes.
· Commitment to inclusivity, ensuring balanced representation and addressing the unique needs of both male and female participants.
· Strong time-management skills to ensure timely execution of outreach, training, and project activities.
Travel: Requires frequent field visits within Swat
This Position is Initially for one month and then subject to availability of funds.
