Job Description:

 

The roles and responsibilities for this position includes but not limited to:

 

Project Planning and Implementation

  • Lead the planning and execution of project activities in line with the approved project document, logical framework, and budget.
  • Develop detailed work plans and timelines in coordination with field teams to ensure timely delivery of all project components.
  • Ensure that all interventions are context-specific, technically sound, and aligned with the needs of the targeted communities.

 

Team Leadership and Capacity Building

  • Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to Head Office and district project teams including technical, operational, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure that team members clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate capacity-building initiatives, on-the-job training, and mentoring to enhance team performance and technical competencies, especially in livestock management.

 

Coordination with Stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain regular communication and working relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that district teams implement technical inputs, strategic guidance, and quality standards.
  • Act as a key focal point for government departments to align project activities with public sector recovery efforts.

 

Logistics and Resource Management

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of livestock-related inputs.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of project resources in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Ensure district teams have the logistical support and technical materials required to carry out planned activities efficiently.

 

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to management.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including beneficiary lists, activity reports, training records, and monitoring tools.
  • Compile case studies, success stories, and lessons learned for sharing with stakeholders and for organizational learning.

 

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify operational, financial, or reputational risks that could impact project success and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with requirements, policies, and national laws/regulations.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical practices at all levels of project execution.

 

Community Engagement and Beneficiary Support

  • Ensure strong community participation and feedback mechanisms are in place.
  • Foster community ownership to enhance sustainability of project outcomes.

 

Qualification & Experience

 

Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or Project Management from a recognized university and Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Project Management, preferably in the development sector.

 

Skills:

  • Prior experience with donor-funded projects, especially in Livelihood related intervention, is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Urdu, and preferably local languages.
