Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Take charge of the smooth daily management of academic, administrative, and project operations, ensuring the institution runs efficiently and upholds the highest standards of operational excellence.
- Program Enhancement: Drive ongoing improvements to elevate the quality and relevance of vocational and technical education programs, while proactively identifying new opportunities for program growth and development.
- Resource Optimization: Effectively align and manage human, financial, and physical resources to maximize their impact, supporting HIT’s mission and long-term strategic goals.
- Collaborations & Partnership Building Foster and maintain meaningful relationships with government bodies, private sector partners, students, and the wider institutional community to collectively advance HIT’s vision and objectives.
- Compliance and Integrity Ensure that all operations adhere fully to government regulations, accreditation requirements, and internal policies, promoting a culture rooted in transparency, accountability, and ethical practices.
- Innovation and Quality Assurance Lead the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance teaching and streamline administrative workflows, while spearheading efforts to secure and uphold rigorous accreditation and certification standards.
- Resource Development and Stakeholders’ Engagement Champion efforts to secure grants and funding, build strategic industry partnerships, engage with local communities, and enhance student placement initiatives, ultimately boosting employment opportunities for HIT graduates.
Requirements
- Preferably, a master’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Education, Project Management, or Human Resources) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of proven and progressive experience in operational management, preferably within the education, vocational training, or skill development sector (in a medium to largesized organizations.
- Experience with integrating technology solutions to improve operational efficiencies and educational delivery is an advantage.
- Ability to foster innovation and lead change initiatives within the institution AND Competency in data analysis, reporting, and decision-making based on metrics and KPIs.
