Position Objectives:

  • The incumbent will work as Program manager within the framework of national policies and guidelines defined in the IFRC supported Routine Immunization Program.Serves as the program lead and primary point of contact between Provincial, National and Partner Offices. Leading the overall responsible body for ensuring the effective and quality implementation of RI Program and to ensure compliance with Program agreements between partners.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Trouble shoots issues and challenges related to the IFRC supported Routine Immunization Program implementation.

Provides technical support to project staff on quality implementation and monitoring of the IFRC supported RI Program.

Regular visits and closely monitoring of the quality and implementation of the Program, providing advice/guidance to project staff on possible solutions to problems as they arise. The position will require extensive travel and frequent field visits.

Develops, maintains and monitors Plans of Action, monitoring plans, work hours for program staff, budgets and expenditures.

Organizes, attends and participates in relevant stakeholder meetings.

Ensures the performance of team members at all tiers with an approach of delivery, trigger mechanism and execution of outputs as compared to set objectives and timelines of implementation and reporting, and timely identifying challenges and suggesting solutions as appropriate.

Develops and monitors the project management calendar for fulfilling each project goals, objectives and detailed deliverables.

Ensures effective coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project activities in accordance with work plans.

Ensures close monitoring and reporting of project risks and mitigation strategies within the risk management log.

Tracks project performance to ensure timely the successful completion of short and long-term project/program goals.

Meets the budgetary objectives set and proactively address project constraints based on financial analysis.

Ensures donor reporting, information sharing, and other requirements are communicated and received by relevant RI Program and national office

Participates in Coordination and Planning and Review meetings (monthly, quarterly, annually) and organizes project specific planning and review meetings.

Develops and maintains good liaison with governmental authorities, donors, Humanitarian Country Team, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private sector and civil society organizations, with the aim of coordinating and promoting project / program activities.

Flexibility to travel into the fields to conduct monitoring & other related tasks

Ensures collection, filing and submission of required project documentation, and presentation of best practices and lesson learnt.

Any other duty assigned by the Senior Management

 

Education.

 

MBBS/MD Degree, registered with Pakistan Medical Council (PMC), with additional master’s in public health will be given preference. 



 

Experience.

 
  1. Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in handling developmental and humanitarian related programs/projects with specific focus on Immunization.

  2. Experience in project management, mainly in the field of Health.

  3. Preference will be given to candidates with experience from Health and Immunization related programs/projects.

  4. The incumbent must have professional work experience in disease surveillance, immunization activities, healthcare services & emergencies or other field-level public health programs.

  5. Proficiency in MS Office.

  6. Familiarity and work experience with community.

  7. The incumbent must have clear understanding of gender equality, sexual exploitation, abuse    and harassment.

 

Skills / Knowledge. 

 
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Report writing

  • Fostering integration and Teamwork

  • Respecting and promoting individual and cultural differences

  • Effective and credible communication

  • Management and technical skills on development of SOPs, guidelines, project plans, budgets etc.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Certification in Project Management would be an added value.

  • Good Command over Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point).

  • Strong monitoring, evaluation, reporting and analytical skills would be required.

 

Maximum age limit is up to 40 years.
