Objective

Better Cotton’s Program team is looking for support in tracking & monitoring various activities pertaining to Capacity Building & Practice Adoptions in the field, including but not limited to conducting surveys/interviews of BCI farmers in 06 different districts of Sindh & Punjab managed by different program partners. The Service Provider/Consultancy Firm engaging the Program Field Monitor(s) will work closely with the Better Cotton Program Team based at Better Cotton Lahore office.

*Producer Unit (PU)

A Producer Unit (PU) is a group of Smallholders (SH) or Medium Farms (MF) who are organized together under a common management structure to participate in the Better Cotton Programme. Each PU is overseen by a dedicated PU Manager who is responsible for implementing an internal management system to support, train and monitor farmers across the PU. The size of a PU depends on local circumstances, although the optimal size is between 2,500 to 4,000 farmers for a SH PU and around

100 farmers for a MF PU. Farmers in a SH PU are further divided into Learning Groups.

Scope of Work

The Service Provider/Consultancy Firm engaging the Program Field Monitor(s) is expected to perform following tasks:

  • Visit & interview/survey farmers at their farms to collect data about participation in capacity building activities and practice adoption (structured interview/survey guide)

  • Field visit plan sharing and adherence to the same

  • Farmer wise rotation of practice adoption schemas 1,2 & 3 for diversified data collection (600 farmers each schema)

  • Data collection and submission on Questionnaires/formats through BCI digital platform(s).

  2. Complete bidding documents can be submitted to BCI Pakistan Office, Office no. 3, 7th floor 75 / 76 D-1, Main Boulevard, Block D1 Gulberg III, Lahore from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday through registered courier. By hand submission or physical visits are not allowed. 

  3. Sealed bids should reach BCI Pakistan Office, Office no. 3, 7th floor 75 / 76 D-1, Main Boulevard, Block D1 Gulberg III, Lahore, on or before 5:00 PM 17-10-2025 and should be clearly marked “Bid for Program Field Monitor(s) for Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Pakistan”.

  4. The Supplier must quote only one option for each service. Bids received with more than one options, and rates may be rejected.

  5. Rates should be including of all type of taxes, duties, fees, charges and all other allied costs.

  6. BCI Procurement committee reserves the right to change the quantities or cancel/reject any or all offers without assigning any reason.

  7. Bidders must not be engaged in any corrupt, fraudulent, collusive or coercive practices including but not limited to applying/ bidding by multiple names / companies. If any bidder is found to be involved in such practices his/her bid may be rejected and the companies in question permanently blacklisted.

  8. An award will be made based on the quality, cost factor, credibility, work references, reputation of the firm &/or any other factor/s as deemed fit by the committee/procurement authority for the selection. 

  9. Ensure compliance with the TORs for this role and reporting as per schedule provided during the onboarding process. 

  10. Adhere to all data privacy, confidentiality & integrity regulations.
