Purpose of the Role:

The selected candidate for this position would be responsible to develop the ICT based skills enhancement and capacity building tools for Producer Units regarding Better Cotton Production Principles and Criteria. This position is initially to be recruited for 6 months (extendable) with3 months of probation period; however, the successful candidate based on satisfactorily performance is expected to be continued up to extension of project.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work under the guidance and supervision of Project Manager and Technical Training Specialist and in close coordination with region coordinators, project team.
  • Develop the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based tools and capacity building material for Producer Unit staff and farmers regarding Better Cotton Production Principles Criteria, Crop Production Technology and Decent Work.
  • Prepare the video clips and pictographic material for orientation and capacities enhancement of less educated people.
  • Develop the application (mobile and web) for input data record and training activities at farm.
  • Any other assignments required for satisfactory completion of the key role requirements.
Education and Experience:
  • Candidates should have relevant degree preferably Mass Communication/Media/IT.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Candidates having experience for developing ICT based tools for capacities enhancement of communities would be given preference.
  • Willingness for field visits to interiors of lower Sindh for trainings picturization and videos development regarding introduced interventions.
  • Experience and ability to work in tight schedules and within limited timeframes
  • Good report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan work schedules to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Effective team player and conversant with a transdisciplinary approach.
  • Practical and pragmatic – preferably with experience of working with international organizations.
