ZMK & Co. is seeking applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the Position of Finance Officer under a donor-funded education sector reform program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These positions are purely on a contract basis with fixed salary packages. Only candidates who have domicile certificates from the project districts are eligible to apply. Females are encouraged to apply.
Purpose of the Position:
The Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial management, budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and compliance with donor financial procedures to support the effective implementation of project activities. The role will also contribute to strengthening internal controls, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate documentation of financial transactions.
Brief Job Description:
- Develop and maintain financial systems with strong internal controls aligned with donor standards.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenditures for donor-funded projects.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records, registers, ledgers, and vouchers.
- Manage bank reconciliations, petty cash, and asset registers with regular inventory checks.
- Support audits by ensuring accurate documentation and implementing recommendations.
- Prepare and submit donor financial reports and provide data for program decision-making.
- Review procurement documents and ensure completeness before processing payments.
- Provide guidance to program teams on financial compliance and support day-to-day financial tasks.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification:
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in MBA (Finance) or M.Com, BBA (Finance), Accounting,or a related field. A first University Degree in a relevant field, combined with 2 additional years of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree
Experience:
- Having relevant and progressive professional experience of at least 5 years in administrative & financial management in government financial systems.
- Proven record of managing financial transactions, financial record keeping, Budgeting, audits and financial reporting
- Having good knowledge of public procurement, KEPPRA and taxation rules, regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting and financial management software.
- Demonstrated Computer Skill (Proficiency in using computer desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
