Location: Lahore Head Office (with regular field travel)

Reporting To: Manager Programmes

Contract Type: Full-Time

Job Description

The Programme Officer will serve as the focal point for implementing Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust’s one-to-one programme Project across Pakistan. The Programme Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the Project initiative in coordination with AMWT UK and field offices in Pakistan.

The role requires ensuring the timely disbursement of Al Mustafa & International projects, maintaining an accurate and updated beneficiary’s database, collecting & maintain beneficiary record for donors, and implementing with the consideration of safeguarding protocols. The person must exhibit integrity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Humanitarian action and donor accountability.

3. Key Job Responsibilities & Duties

Programme Officer will serve as a key implementer for AMWT's diverse programme projects. Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

Projects Delivery & Networking

  • Develop the project plan, execution, and monitoring of assigned projects in accordance with donor requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Liaison with the field team Head Office, and international partners (including AMWT UK) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Facilitate the timely and accurate flow of project information, reports, and updates.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely disbursement of project funds and maintain proper financial documentation.
  • Track project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, flagging any deviations or risks for prompt action.
  • Manage project documentation, including agreements, reports, and beneficiary data.

Beneficiary & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct field visits to verify project activities, collect beneficiary data, and monitor progress against targets.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure the accurate collection and updating of beneficiary profiles and project impact data.

Compliance & Safeguarding

  • Ensure all project activities adhere to organizational policies, donor guidelines, and relevant safeguarding frameworks.
  • Identify and report any project-related risks or compliance issues through official channels.
  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Conduct regular monitoring visits for all projects to assess project implementation quality, beneficiary feedback, and on-ground challenges.
  • Support the compilation of accurate and timely donor reports, proposal writing progress updates, and impact assessments.
  • Conduct baseline survey, data analysis & reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies, success stories, and other communication materials for donors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Relation, or related fields.
  • At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience managing emergency response, humanitarian action, international donors.
  • Strong familiarity with safeguard policy, PSHEA Training & projects protection principles, donor-funded projects, and follow the reporting protocols.
  • Experience working with charity-based organizations (UK-based charities will be considered an asset). 

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to field sites in the projects.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu; Sindhi, Punjabi, or Pashto considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, digital folders, Google Drive, power Bi software and WhatsApp for business communication.
