Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions. Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Medical Officer base at Aga Khan Hospital, Gilgit. Key Responsibilities: • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients according to standard clinical protocols. • Provide emergency and routine medical care in outpatient and inpatient settings. • Prescribe medications and treatments in line with approved guidelines. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records. • Refer patients to specialists or higher-level care facilities as required. • Assist in implementing preventive healthcare measures and health education programs. • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of clinical activities. Qualifications & Experience: • MBBS degree from a recognized institution. • Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC). • Minimum 1 year (House job) at a reputable healthcare institution. • Should have an aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills • Ability to handle medical emergencies effectively • Ability to work under pressure and in rotational shifts • Team working skills • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills • Good time management • Good communication and team building skills Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
